If you're in Zermatt and seeking a cozy spot to indulge in exquisite coffee while soaking in the beautiful Swiss atmosphere, look no further than Cup's Italian Coffee House. Nestled at Kirchstrasse 44, this charming café is not just a coffee shop—it's a cherished haven for both locals and visitors looking for an authentic Swiss experience. With the breathtaking backdrop of the Alps, it’s the perfect spot to savor your morning brew or an afternoon treat.

At Cup's, the star of the menu is undoubtedly their expertly crafted coffee. Guests rave about the smooth and rich flavor of their signature drinks, such as the lactose-free vanilla latte, which has garnered accolades from patrons like Daniel Huynh, who described it as possibly the best coffee he's ever had in Switzerland. The café also specializes in traditional Italian concoctions; whether you're in the mood for a dark, robust espresso or a beautifully frothed macchiato, you'll leave with your caffeine cravings more than satisfied.

But coffee isn’t all they offer—be sure to try their delectable pastries. The chocolate croissant, recommended by early riser Daniel, comes out warm and crisp, promising a buttery delight that complements the coffee perfectly. The tantalizing homemade biscuits are another highlight, as mentioned by Lydia Cawley, who noted their addictive quality. Each bite brings a symphony of textures and flavors, making it impossible to stop at just one.

The atmosphere at Cup's Italian Coffee House is inviting and warm, enhanced by the friendly and welcoming service from staff members like Christine, who makes every morning memorable for her guests. As Angela Panken beautifully expressed in her review, "Christine is fabulous, she made us feel welcome every single morning." This kind of genuine hospitality ensures that your visit will feel personalized and memorable.

Whether you choose to enjoy your drink indoors or at the few outdoor tables, you will appreciate the café's charming ambiance filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and homemade pastries. The reasonable prices, especially considering the region, further add to the delightful experience—Petra Kamenicka praised their iced drinks as "fine" and the total cost for a delightful chai latte and coffee at only 14 CHF as quite a bargain in Switzerland.

If you find yourself in Zermatt, let Cup's Italian Coffee House be a highlight of your visit. Experience an exquisite cup of coffee, savory pastries, and the warmth of wonderful service—all nestled in one of the most picturesque settings Switzerland has to offer. It’s not just a café; it’s a community gathering space where every visit feels like coming home.

I arrived at 7:30 AM and they opened right on time. Excellent, welcoming service from the barista. My lactose-free vanilla latte was smooth and perfectly pulled. Best coffee I’ve had in Switzerland so far. The chocolate croissant was warm, crisp, and buttery. Fast, punctual, and delicious. I will be back. Thank you!

My partner and I came here for coffee every day of our holiday and absolutely loved it! They do excellent vanilla lattes - iced or hot and the homemade biscuits are so good they’re addictive ! Highly recommend the friendly service and excellent coffee.

Kind personnel and reasonable prices. There are few places to sit outside, but also inside the coffee shop. We ordered ice chai latte and ice coffee with double espresso and it tasted fine. I was very happy to see chai latte on the menu as many cafes do not serve it. We paid for both 14CHF which is very reasonable in Switzerland. They also have a selection of bakery products, but we did not try it.

Visited this cozy little café twice during my stay in Zermatt. It is decorated well and has a warm touch. You can choose between outdoor seating and indoor seating, blankets are provided outdoors. I had an Italianische Schokolade and a Zimt-Latte, both were delicious. I also tried their Cannolis, the chocolate one was more rich whilst the pistachio one was lighter. The owner was always very friendly and kindly explained the items. You can tell that both owners put a lot of care into their café.

I’ve been traveling in Europe for a month and I’ve drank a lot of coffee. The vanilla latte from Cup’s is definitely toward the top of my list. The staff is so very friendly and kind, and it’s clear they enjoy what they’re doing. If you stop by, I highly recommend sitting outside. It’s a great place to people watch and admire the view. If you visit when it first opens, you’ll be greeted with a stunning view of the mountains. While there are other coffee shops in Zermatt, I enjoyed this one the most because it’s out of the busy shopping area. I felt like it was calmer and more relaxing.
